This is the new chandelier that Adam installed in the front hall this morning. It just came from Lowes, and I really like it. I am ALWAYS fighting the big-house-mentality when I shop for things for our house. So many things today are made for new construction with the requisite big rooms, and it makes it hard to find things that are the right scale for an older house. I was afraid that this chandelier might be too big, but it turned out to be just right. We actually altered it a bit and did not install the big ball on the bottom, and it looks much better. I know they were trying to go for the Williamsburg classic chanderlier look, but they just missed with the big ball.  It looks great without it.
